Overview

Haven is built to provide small Discord server utilities without collecting more information than those utilities require. The bot reads interaction and server context from Discord only so it can respond to commands, welcome members, and run enabled features.

Data Haven Uses

When you use Haven, Discord may provide server IDs, channel IDs, user IDs, command names, command options, and member join events. Haven uses this information to identify where a response should be sent and which configured feature should run.

Message Content

The current bot does not intentionally store message content, personal profiles, direct messages, or conversation history. Slash-command responses are generated at the time of interaction and are not saved by the bot code included in this repository.

Configuration

Bot tokens, application IDs, guild IDs, and welcome channel IDs are managed through environment variables by the server operator. These values should stay private and should not be committed, shared publicly, or exposed in client-side code.

Third Parties

Haven runs on Discord and depends on Discord APIs. Discord may process data according to its own privacy policies when users interact with the bot, invite the bot, authorize the application, or use Discord platform features.

Retention and Removal

Because the current bot does not include a database, it does not define a long-term retention period for user records. Server operators can remove Haven from a server at any time, and future stored-data features should document their retention behavior before launch.
